QUINTESSENTIAL MOUNTAIN HOME

This 3600 square foot home features three separate volumes, each with different exterior siding. The living volume includes a tuckunder garage. The bedroom volume features a main floor master with two bedrooms and a loft on the second floor. The vertical circulation volume was dubbed “the mine shaft” and includes the kitchen with a breakfast nook with a canted window wall, plus a top floor sitting nook with 360-degree views. Completed in 2005, this is a good example of Ewers Architecture’s earlier work as we learned successful strategies for sustainable homes.
