With the back of the lot facing Green Mountain open space, and the front of the lot facing city views of Denver, we sited the home to take advantage of both.  The kitchen sink is perfectly positioned to view the city lights framed by two large trees, and the living room graciously opens to a large patio and a panorama of nature.
