MORRISON NET ZERO

  • So, we suggested a tuck-under garage plus an elevator to make the entire home accessible.  Tuck-under garages are also a great way to cut down on unneeded basement space.  The client was uncertain at first, but agreed to try it, and now has enjoyed living in the house for several years.  Another challenge was to bathe the interior in sunlight while also capturing the north-facing view… but the south-facing clerestory windows in the main living and bedroom areas do just that.  Coupled with the all-electric systems, high levels of insulation, and rooftop photovoltaics, this house is nearly Net Zero Energy annually.  And the seamless flow throw the house and out to the exterior living environments make this the perfect home.

    Location: Morrison, Colorado
